Dat klonk natuurlijk te mooi om waar te zijn. Maar ja, was toch nieuwsgierig. Heb dus een antwoord gestuurd. Een paar uurtjes later kreeg ik dit mailtje:

It should be from an independent evaluation company. I don't trust automated
services from companies I've never heard about.

Without a professional evaluation we both cannot be sure in the final sale
price. It will minimize the investing risks.

2. I need the evaluation service with a trademark verification. It's
important for us to know that you domain has no problems
with trademarks. Some evaluators include this option in the appraisalsal
service.

Nou ja, bij het lezen van de mail was het me wel duidelijk. BULLSH*T. Googlen leverde me meer informatie op. Vele mensen zijn al benaderd op een dergelijke wijze. Ik weet niet of ik hier wel of geen URL mag neerzetten, maar google eens op: whois affordable-web-services.com.

Is inderdaad bullsh*t. Dit komt al een aantal jaren voorbij. Ze willen niet daadwerkelijk bieden op je domeinnaam. Ze willen alleen dat je bij hun "taxatie-service" de domeinnaam laat taxeren.

Ik heb al diverse keren een zogenaamd bod gekregen. Ben er gelukkig ook nooit ingetrapt
